This Wiki is home to the session topic ideas and other info for the BrainSTEM un-conference at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics from June 25-27, 2012.

Table of contents:

BrainSTEM un-conference is inspired by the work of such digital media educators and entrepreneurs as MinutePhysics, xkcd, CGPGrey, CrashCourse, RadioLab, Vihart, and Khan Academy, and adheres to the idea that while information is readily available in our digital age, meaningful personal connections are harder to come by. Therefore, BrainSTEM un-conference will be held in an "un-conference" style (a la Science Online) and bring together talented individuals with overlapping interests in three spheres – digital media, science, and education – to hang out, make connections, and discuss online video, radio, webcomics, education, science, and anything else cool.
At an un-conference, attendees are invited to propose and decide on all of the session topic ideas in the days and/or weeks before the event. Some un-conferences even wait to set their schedule until the morning of the first day! As you can tell by this wiki, we're eager to start the discussion a little sooner than that... so feel free to head over to the session ideas page and edit to your heart's content.
